Silent Auction Rules
Silent Auction - Terms and Conditions
1. All sales are final.
2. Bidders must complete a bidding slip at the Show or by giving their name, address, contact telephone number(s), and an email address if available.
3. Bids may be placed by either telephone to 07770 756614 or in person at the Stradsett Garden Show Silent Auction stand.
4. Once made, bids may not be retracted.
5. The winner of each lot will be the highest recorded bidder at 4pm on Sunday 26th July 2011.
6. The organiser’s decision as to the winner of each lot is final.
7. Winning bidders should pay for and collect their purchase by 5pm on Sunday 5th July at the Silent Auction stand at the Show. Payment may be deferred by a maximum of 7 days if means of payment is not available. In this event a deposit of 20% of the sale price must be paid. These lots should be collected from the auctioneer near Downham Market or arrangements agreed for despatch of the item.
8. Any lot not collected by 5pm on Sunday 26th June 2011, or not having arrangements made for collection, will be deemed to have been donated to the Rotary Club of Downham Market and will be disposed of at the discretion of the organisers.
9. Payment should be made by cash, or cheque with valid cheque card.
10. In the event of two or more bidders being present at the Silent Auction show stand still bidding at 4pm on Sunday 5th July 2009, the auction will continue until only one bidder wins.
11. Any lot remaining unsold will be disposed of at the discretion of the organisers.
12. Bidding confirms acceptance of these conditions.
